Committee meetings are held every 2nd Sunday of the month with a caseworker meeting at 10am. Full meeting starts at 10.30am. Any urgent matters for the agenda can be addressed to any of the above.
Our Membership Sec and Caseworker Chairman will hold a surgery every second Wednesday of the month.
Branch News
Legion will mark Anzac Day with respect
Legion Members will be joined by Australian and New Zealand nationals at Torrisholme Cemetary on Sunday 25th April to honour Flight Sgt Wilson from the New Zealand airforce who died in Morecambe Bay in 1944 during a training flight. (Last years event is pictured below)
The day coincides with Anzac Day and full military honours will be afforded to the stricken airman with the last post played at the graveside.
A buffet reception will be held in the York Hotel afterwards with the Mayor of Lancaster and other dignitaries attending.
Cheque handed over to Byng House
On Saturday 7th March 2009, a cheque for £800 from the Branch was handed over to the staff at Byng House in Southport by Ian & Sylvia Nicholson and Memebrship secretary - Les Croombs.
